About the role
Torch Technologies is seeking a Systems Engineer, Senior located at Maxwell Air Force Base-Gunter Annex in Montgomery, AL, within the AFLCMC/GB Business and Enterprise Systems Directorate (BES).
Responsibilities
- Identify, describe, and apply emerging IT acquisition strategies, best practices, IT-related performance measures and quality management in support of acquisition planning, information assurance/cybersecurity, test and evaluation processes, verification and validation processes, and/or fielding and sustaining of lT/software systems.
- Conduct reviews on program portfolio to evaluate and/or recommend alternative plans, improve systems engineering programs/processes, manage/sustain program technical baseline, and design/perform system level tests to assure that subsystems and system performance is achieved in accordance with approved specifications.
- Prepare technical documentation which defines, specifies, and recommends system/subsystem characteristics.
- Prepare management reports and conducts technical presentations for planning, implementation and corrective action using application of engineering principles.
- Provide Agile and Digital system/program engineering, technical support and technical training to support programs/initiatives including, but not limited to, acquisition, development, integration, sustainment, continued evolution, deployment/fielding and installation, and operations oversight.
- Perform validation of software systems including development of analyses/evaluation criteria and procedures, analyses/evaluation of results, and related recommendations.
- Perform all (system) engineering according to applicable DoW, AF, AFMC directives, instructions, and manuals, to include, but not be limited to, AFI 63-101, AFMAN 63-144, AFMCI 63-1202, AFMAN 63-128, AF/ 99-103 - and their updates, successors (as happens over time).
Requirements
- US Citizenship.
- Master's or Doctorate Degree in a related field and 10 years of experience in the respective technical/professional discipline being performed, five years of which must be in the DoW.
- Or Bachelor’s degree in a related field and 12 years of experience in the respective technical/professional discipline being performed, 5 of which must be in the DoW.
- 15 years of directly related experience with proper certifications, 8 of which must be in the DoW. 8140 Certification, CompTIA Security+ CE preferred.
- Must hold Active Secret Security Clearance.
