Responsibilities
- Maintain smooth operation of multi-user computer systems, including coordination with network administrators.
- Set up administrator and service accounts, maintain system documentation, tune system performance, install system wide software and allocate mass storage space.
- Have experience with both Linux and Windows system administration, including installing, patching, troubleshooting and hardening Linux and Windows operating systems (both bare-metal and virtual machines).
- Have experience with System Security Implementations.
- Interact with users and evaluates vendor products. Make recommendations to purchase hardware and software, coordinates installation and provides backup recovery.
- Develop and monitor policies and standards for allocation related to the use of computing resources.
Requirements
This is an EARLY-MID CAREER (level 3) ROLE where candidates typically require 3+ years of professional experience and a BS degree.
Qualifications
Proficiency in working with OpenShift and containers
Proficiency in working with AWS Cloud components and services
Proficiency in cyber security and Splunk Configuration and management of routers, switches, firewalls, and other network devices
Experience with firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems, and vulnerability management
Understanding of server hardware, storage systems, and backup solutions
Experience with operational ground systems
