Systems Engineer III, Datacenter Operations

About the role

Ticketmaster’s Data Center Engineering team builds, maintains, and keeps the company’s physical infrastructure footprint running smoothly to support fans and internal customers. The team is responsible for data center‑based projects and operations tasks that keep critical data center devices and infrastructure operational. This role involves handling hardware installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and recycling requests from internal service teams, proactively monitoring critical hardware systems, and driving higher‑level initiatives such as firmware management, hardware monitoring and alerting, and metrics collection. The position contributes to hardware modernization, capacity expansion, and expansion of internal services.

Responsibilities

• Provide expertise on hardware deployments and work with internal service team to build rack elevations and deploy hardware
• Work with the Data Center Asset Management system to keep automated systems up to date with critical asset information
• Work with service teams and Network teams to build port configurations
• Lead projects to rack and install new hardware and decommission old hardware
• Respond to requests for support of hardware in the datacenter as well as manage hardware lifecycle
• Maintain key relationships with internal Engineering customers
• Manage and maintain the hardware monitoring platform to keep internal customers' hardware operating smoothly
• Deploy systems firmware updates to keep the hardware platforms up to date and compliant with standards
• Monitor the data center environment to keep things running within specifications
• Work with the data center facility to receive and ship hardware
• Keep the data center organized and efficient
