Systems Engineer II, Integration & Test Engineer

About the Role
RTX, the world's largest aerospace and defense company, is seeking a Systems Engineer II to join the Systems Integration & Test Long Range Radars Department. This role supports radar technology by performing radar data analysis and systems integration activities at our Woburn, MA location. The position involves scenario development, testing, data analysis, software development support, and customer presentations, contributing to both internal and external team growth.
Responsibilities
- Support integration and test planning/execution, verification/validation events, regression testing, and scenario-based analysis to identify and resolve technical observations.
- Support system performance assessments and validation testing to ensure compliance with requirements and specifications.
- Execute integration plans and testing activities according to defined milestones and schedules.
- Integrate and test radar system software builds in a String/HWIL facility for integration, verification, test, and data analysis activities.
- Collaborate with cross-program leads/stakeholders to generate test approaches, ensure test-setup readiness, and participate in key processes (peer reviews, gate reviews, and test readiness).
- Confirm test and evaluation processes adhere to established procedures for software and hardware, ensuring compliance with Department of Defense technology release and export licensing policies.
- Willingness to travel up to 10% locally and non-locally, including experience with domestic and foreign military sales products.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) with a minimum of 2 years of prior relevant experience.
- Experience with MATLAB, Python, Perl, C/C++, Linux, Unix, and/or other programming languages.
- Experience using String/HWIL test equipment, RF electronic hardware configuration and installation, software installations, and integrating or regression testing radar systems.
Preferred Qualifications
- Proficiency in MATLAB, Linux (Red Hat), Unix, and Shell scripting for integration, verification, test, and data analysis.
- Experience integrating and configuring electronics, installing/debugging software, and creating integration test procedures, test plans, and test scripts.
- Knowledge of agile and DevSecOps processes, including participation in daily standups, sprint reviews, PI Planning, retrospectives, and tools like JIRA and Confluence.
- Individual integration skills, knowledge of radar and signal processing concepts, and experience modeling and determining radar performance.

Pay
The salary range for this role is $68,900 – $131,100 USD. The range is representative of all experience levels and considers factors such as role, responsibilities, work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
