About the role
The Systems Integration and Test Engineer supports one of Raytheon's premier programs within RTX Business. This role involves collaborating within an Agile product team to deliver high-quality, value-added capabilities that support program objectives. Key responsibilities include conducting systems integration, regression testing, and verification activities, troubleshooting technical issues, and supporting successful program execution.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate within an Agile product team to deliver high-quality, value-added capabilities that support program objectives.
- Carry out systems integration, regression testing, and verification activities as a member of an Agile Product Team, culminating in customer demonstrations at the end of each sprint.
- Maintain a systems-level perspective while supporting integration, verification, and validation activities throughout the software development lifecycle.
- Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve technical issues encountered during software and hardware integration activities.
- Develop, execute, and improve integration and test procedures to ensure mission-critical system performance.
- Work closely with software developers, systems engineers, and customers to resolve integration challenges and support successful program execution.
- Support testing activities within a secure, closed-area facility in Richardson, Texas.
Requirements
- Typically requires a Bachelor's Degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 2 years of prior relevant experience.
- Experience supporting systems integration and testing for software products in an Agile, CI/CD environment, including regression testing, test scripting, or test automation.
- Experience troubleshooting and debugging software-based systems or applications.
- Experience using Atlassian development tools such as Jira, Confluence, and Bitbucket.
- Active and transferable U.S. government-issued TS/SCI security clearance is required prior to the start date. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
Qualifications
- Experience with Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) tools and digital engineering or digital test methodologies.
- Experience working in a satellite ground system development or operations environment.
- Experience developing interface control documentation (ICDs) and interface definitions.
- Experience with ground station and satellite domains, including terrestrial networking, command and telemetry, launch operations, flight dynamics, mission planning, or on-orbit operations.
- Experience engaging effectively with customers, stakeholders, and external partners to drive collaboration and alignment.
- Experience using automated test tools such as Cucumber, Gherkin, and Zephyr.
- Experience programming in Java, C++, MATLAB, Rust, or Python.
- Experience working with Linux operating systems and cloud environments (AWS certification is a plus).
