Systems Integration and Test Engineer II
This position is onsite in Aurora, CO and requires an active and transferable U.S. government-issued TS/SCI security clearance prior to the start date. U.S. citizenship is required.
About the role
We have an exciting opportunity for a Systems Integration and Test Engineer supporting one of our premier programs within Raytheon, an RTX Business. In this role, you will work in a collaborative Agile development environment supporting the integration, verification, validation, and deployment of next-generation satellite ground systems. This position is contingent upon contract award.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate within an Agile product team to deliver high-quality system integration and test solutions that support program objectives and customer mission success.
- Maintain a systems-level perspective while integrating, verifying, and validating complex satellite ground system capabilities.
- Execute system integration, regression, functional, and end-to-end testing activities throughout the software development lifecycle.
- Develop, execute, and maintain test plans, test procedures, test scripts, and automated test solutions in support of system verification and validation.
- Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve software and hardware integration issues while working closely with Systems, Software, Test, and Integration Engineering teams.
- Participate in Agile ceremonies, technical interchange meetings, integration events, and customer demonstrations at the conclusion of each sprint.
- Support system integration activities within secure laboratory environments while ensuring system functionality meets program and customer requirements.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 2 years of prior relevant experience.
- Experience supporting systems integration and test activities for software-based systems within an Agile and/or CI/CD development environment.
- Experience developing or executing regression testing, test procedures, test scripts, or automated test solutions.
- Experience troubleshooting and debugging software-based systems, system interfaces, or integrated hardware/software environments.
- Active and transferable U.S. government-issued TS/SCI security clearance is required prior to the start date.
- U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience supporting satellite ground system development, integration, or operations environments.
- Familiarity with satellite mission domains including terrestrial networking, command and telemetry, mission planning, launch operations, flight dynamics, or on-orbit operations.
- Experience collaborating effectively with customers, external partners, and multidisciplinary engineering teams.
- Experience with Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) tools and digital engineering or digital test methodologies.
- Experience using Agile development tools such as Jira, Confluence, and Bitbucket.
- Experience with automated test frameworks including Cucumber, Behave, Gherkin, Zephyr, or similar tools.
- Programming experience using Java, C++, Python, MATLAB, or Rust.
- Experience working in Linux operating systems and cloud-based environments (AWS experience or certification is a plus).

Pay
The salary range for this role is 68,900 USD - 131,100 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
Schedule
This is an onsite role. Employees in onsite roles work primarily onsite and may be required to attend select steps of the interview process in-person at one of our office locations.
