Systems Engineer II/III

About the Role
Experienced Systems Engineer to support development of a variety of military-based complex systems.
Responsibilities
- Ensure overall requirements traceability, interface management, and risk management for the system.
- Conduct system modeling, operations analysis, and requirements decomposition in support of system design.
- Perform system-level trade analysis of different design options, including estimated development and operational costs.
- Develop system requirement specifications for the overall system, including verification plans.
- Generate overall system architecture to satisfy customer, functional, reliability, and safety requirements.
- Address the engineering lifecycle from development to manufacturing to fielding and support.
- Coordinate and execute milestone project reviews, technical reviews, and decision tradeoff analysis.
- Expertise in one or more of the following areas is useful:
- Use of Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) principles to develop SysML models.
- Experience with DOORS requirement management tool.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in mechanical or aerospace engineering or related discipline with 2 years of related experience.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Customer interfacing and ability to build relationships.
- Ability to work in teams and independently with minimal direction.
- An existing U.S. Security Clearance is preferred; the ability to obtain one is required.
Use of Model-Based Systems Engineering principles to develop SysML models and DOORS requirement management tool is preferred.
Pay
This role is open at multiple levels. Candidates will be hired at a level consistent with their background and experience:
- Level II: $88,200–$133,000 per year
- Level III: $110,500–$167,900 per year
In compliance with local pay transparency law, the pay range for this position is $88,200–$167,900 per year. Compensation is based on candidate experience, qualifications, market, and business considerations.
