Systems Engineer II-III

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and support reliable computing and network systems for radio telescopes
• Architect, deploy, and maintain Linux-based servers, storage, and networking infrastructure
• Collaborate with scientists and engineers to optimize system performance, security, and availability
• Automate infrastructure processes and document system designs
• Contribute to continuous improvement within a research-focused environment

Qualifications and Skills

• Experience with Linux server and network system deployment and maintenance
• Strong understanding of data acquisition, processing, and scientific computing needs
• Ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams
• Proficiency in automation, system documentation, and troubleshooting
