Key Responsibilities
- Provide remote and in-person technical support to data collection sites — debugging capture rigs, network issues, and pipeline failures.
- Help bring up new studies: configure capture systems, set up protocols, validate end-to-end data flow, and train moderators.
- Test new hardware and qualify it for production use.
- Design, prototype, and build custom capture systems and supporting hardware (including PCBs).
- Write and maintain scripts and small tools that automate common moderator and operations workflows.
Required Skills
- Strong Python and general software development skills.
- PCB design experience (schematic capture and layout).
- Comfortable working independently across hardware and software domains.
- Strong debugging instincts and willingness to travel between sites as needed.
- Proficiency in Bash scripting and Linux command-line tools.
Preferred
- Working knowledge of camera systems (image sensors, lenses, calibration, sync).
Logistics
- Onsite required; cross-site travel expected.
Pay
Pay Range: $60.00 to $63.42 per hour. Pay range offered to a successful candidate will be based on several factors, including the candidate's education, work experience, work location, specific job duties, certifications, etc.
