Systems Engineer II

Description

Cardinal Point Captains, Inc. (CPC) is seeking an experienced and well-qualified full-time Systems Engineer II to support the Standoff Target Reacquire Identification Detection and Navigation Tool (STRIDENT) program in Panama City Beach, Florida.

Responsibilities

• Effective provisioning, operation, installation/configuration and maintenance of systems hardware/software/related infrastructure.
• Technical support, guidance and hands-on delivery in the planning, implementation and ongoing operation of databases.
• Participate in technical research and development to enable continuing innovation within the infrastructure.
• Ensure system hardware, operating systems, software systems, and related procedures adhere to organizational values and regulatory requirements.
• Document specifications, project plans, configurations, test plans and results.
• Depict complex ideas, issues and designs to varied audiences; communicate project objectives, scope and status to project teams.
• Provide sustainment support such as engineering investigations, trade studies, supply chain management and sustainment services.
• Develop and maintain lists, drawings, material, process, and software specifications.
• Develop and maintain a Failure Reporting and Analysis and Corrective Action System to establish data collection and failure-reporting.
• Prepare configuration items including ECPs, RFWs, Notices of Revisions, or Specification Change Notices.
• Prepare Preliminary Engineering Change Proposals for equipment and software changes.
• Develop, implement, and maintain a robust Risk Management process to identify/evaluate program risks.
• Protect critical information.
• Provide input for monthly reporting and deliverables.

Requirements

• Eight (8) years of overall professional experience in the engineering field.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or Technical Degree.
• CompTIA Security Certification.
• Open Water SCUBA certification.

Other Duties

May require an active Secret security clearance.
