Systems Engineer II

This role offers a unique opportunity to work across the full lifecycle of the product, from concept to deployment. Every day will bring new challenges, requiring you to work across disciplines to troubleshoot issues, perform data analysis, and implement solutions. Your contributions will directly impact the success of mission-critical defense systems, and you'll have a hands-on role in ensuring the entire system functions seamlessly.

Responsibilities

• Develop requirements and algorithms, concepts of operations, and define system interfaces.
• Lead testing efforts by developing and implementing test plans, procedures, integration, and verification documentation in both simulated and real-world environments.
• Troubleshoot and analyze hardware, software, and system issues through detailed data analysis and debugging.
• Drive performance improvements and resolve system issues by working across functions.
• Develop and execute models to predict system performance and support verification and validation.
• Integrate hardware and software into tactical systems, evaluating their functionality and impact.
• Coordinate and lead multi-disciplinary teams to achieve seamless integration and system functionality.
• Develop and execute integration documentation, execute plans, analyze data, verify requirements, and effectively communicate results to leadership and stakeholders.
• Conduct statistical and numerical analysis of radar performance data to ensure optimal system performance and verify requirements.
• Present technical findings and solutions to leadership and customers.
• Support missions by traveling as needed (up to 20%) to support mission execution at various locations including local RTX facilities, test sites, vendor facilities, and customer locations.

Requirements

• A minimum of 2 years of prior relevant experience.
• Experience with systems software, systems hardware, systems requirements, systems integration, and/or systems test.
• Experience with DOORS, Rhapsody, Cameo, or other digital engineering tools.
• Experience with model-based engineering.
• Experience in developing and managing requirements.
• Experience developing both scripts and functions with MATLAB.
• Experience with C++, Python, or similar programming languages.
• Experience with generating technical documentation, such as test plans, procedures, or technical reports.
• Experience working in an integration lab, test facility, or in the field, supporting integration and/or verification.
• Experience with evaluating systems using simulated environments.
• Experience interfacing with internal and external customers.
