About the role

Join our dynamic team as a Systems Engineer and become a vital contributor to spaceflight equipment development. As an integral part of our organization, you'll play a crucial role in ensuring the successful definition, integration, verification, and validation of our delivered products. Your contributions will ensure that our products and services not only meet—but outperform—all standards and expectations. Collaborate with a passionate team who shares your dedication to excellence in an environment where your skills and expertise will make a genuine impact.

We are seeking someone with a keen eye for detail, a strong commitment to owning their work, and devotion to superior quality. You should thrive in a diverse environment and be comfortable communicating at all levels of the organization. A genuine, engaging curiosity and a desire for growth and continuous learning are key to success in this role.

This role primarily involves performing test and verification activities, including planning, test procedure development, and tracking verification and validation completion. You will collaborate with design engineering teams to develop, allocate, and verify test equipment requirements; define test configurations; develop data acquisition plans and scripts; and execute functional, performance, and environmental tests.

Responsibilities

  • Develop verification and validation plans and procedures.
  • Manage verification and validation testing campaigns.
  • Define, validate, and track verification of system requirements from all sources.
  • Create and maintain systems engineering and integration (SE&I) data and models.
  • Ensure productive cross-discipline information flow in integrated product teams.
  • Develop systems engineering presentations and documents.
  • Support design reviews and project management reviews.
  • Develop requirements and interface control documentation.
  • Lead analyses and trade studies to refine the system architecture, design solutions, and operational approaches.
  • Mentor and provide technical supervision of less experienced systems engineers (as needed).

Requirements

  • 3 to 7 years of relevant Systems Engineering experience.
  • Bachelor’s degree in systems engineering or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office products to prepare written documents and verbally present at meetings.
  • Experience with the design, assembly, verification, testing, and operation of space-rated systems, or of other systems with similar complexity or criticality.
  • U.S. Citizenship.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a United States Government Department of Defense Security Clearance (active clearances preferred, but not prerequisite).

Qualifications

  • Experience using requirements management tools (Cradle, DOORS, Jama, etc.) and model-based systems engineering (MBSE) tools and techniques is strongly desired.
  • INCOSE or other Systems Engineering professional organization membership or certification.
  • Experience with NASA JSC Flight Hardware Life Cycle, Certification, and Engineering processes.
