About the Role
The Corp-DDS team is seeking a Senior Data Flow Engineer to design, implement, and troubleshoot large, complex data flows using the NiagaraFiles software application. Responsibilities include evaluating data formatting or software issues affecting data flows, collaborating with engineers and developers to identify solutions, and optimizing existing data flows for performance and compliance. The role involves reviewing and processing Dataflow Management Requests (DMRs) to implement efficient data flows and participating in modernization efforts to migrate current flows from hardware to a virtual cloud environment. This includes evaluating current data flows, building requirements, and working with operations teams to rebuild new flows.
This position requires one week of "on-call" support approximately once every 6 to 8 weeks, with occasional on-site reporting for emergency system issues.
Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and troubleshoot large, complex data flows using NiagaraFiles.
- Evaluate data formatting or software issues affecting data flows and collaborate with engineers and developers to identify solutions.
- Optimize existing data flows for performance and ensure compliance with standards.
- Review and process Dataflow Management Requests (DMRs) to implement efficient data flows.
- Participate in data flow modernization efforts, migrating current flows from hardware to a virtual cloud environment.
- Evaluate current data flows, build requirements, and work with operations teams to rebuild new flows.
- Provide "on-call" support on a rotating basis (approximately once every 6 to 8 weeks) and report on-site for emergency system issues.
Qualifications
Basic Qualifications:
- Active TS/SCI security clearance with a current polygraph is required.
- 14 years of experience as a Systems Engineer (SE) on programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity.
- Bachelor’s degree in Systems Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering Science, Engineering Management, or a related discipline from an accredited college or university. (5 additional years of Systems Engineering experience may be substituted in lieu of a bachelor’s degree.)
Desired Qualifications:
- 6 years of Data Flow experience.
- Minimum of 10 years working within the Intelligence Community with mission systems and mission data formats.
- Experience with mission systems that process and manage mission data.
- Experience working with mission data formats.
- Experience reviewing, processing, or creating Dataflow Management Requests (DMRs).
- Experience with Apache NiFi for managing, building, and documenting complex data flows.
- Experience with DeltaFi is highly desirable.
- Experience managing analytical needs and requirements.
- Experience creating Systems Architectural Diagrams depicting software and system functions.
- Experience providing customer support to assist users with data flow questions and concerns.
- Self-starter with strong organizational skills and the ability to work independently.

Pay
Target salary range: $176,000 – $282,000. Salary is determined by factors including scope and responsibilities of the position, individual experience, education, knowledge, skills, competencies, geographic location, and business/contract considerations. Depending on the position, employees may also be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay.
