About The Opportunity
We're seeking a Systems Engineer to operate between our Hardware, Electrical, and Software teams. Your responsibilities include:
- Supporting engineering projects with the team
- Leading projects involving consultants and automation vendors
- Authoring system-level schematics and diagrams
- Conducting research and trade studies on unfamiliar technologies
- Defining control strategies for complex systems
- Executing testing protocols for critical components
- Designing pneumatic and fluidic controls
- Collaborating with mechanical engineers and technicians
What You Bring to the Table
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field
- 5+ years of engineering experience, at least 2 in System Integration or Systems Engineering
- Proficiency in creating system maps, wiring diagrams, and flowcharts
- Experience working with third-party vendors to solve engineering problems
- Comfortable designing electromechanical systems from scratch
- Familiarity with modern agile and project management tools
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to balance multiple projects and travel occasionally
Education & Experience
You should have:
- A bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field
- At least 5 years of engineering experience, with at least 2 years in System Integration or Systems Engineering roles
Technical Skills
- Proficient in creating clear, logical system maps, wiring diagrams, pneumatic and plumbing diagrams, and flowcharts
- Experience with ECAD/schematic software and CAD
- Understanding of electromechanical systems, including controls architecture, pneumatic, and fluidic plumbing and controls
- Comfortable reading and understanding detailed datasheets and translating learnings into recommendations
- Ability to research unfamiliar technologies and build a fundamental understanding to map out potential solutions
Professional Skills
- Capable of pushing forward on multiple projects simultaneously
- Skilled in interfacing with vendors and third parties to describe requirements and evaluate component suitability
- Willingness to travel occasionally for on-site commissioning and support
Pay & Benefits
$124,000 - $145,000 per year. Wonder uses geographic-specific salary structures, so the final salary offer may vary based on location. We offer a competitive salary package including equity and a 401K. Additional benefits include medical, dental, and vision plans, as well as various perks.
