Systems Engineer

About the role

The Systems Engineer at Everforth Apex is responsible for supporting a variety of projects requiring Linux-based software testing. This role demands flexibility to work non-standard shifts and requires a DoD Secret Level Clearance.

Responsibilities

• Manage and analyze data science concepts and fault/parts management using Python and other programming languages.
• Facilitate discussions with external organizations and demonstrate strong teamwork and communication skills.
• Develop and document system structural and behavioral analysis models, and software requirements specifications (SRS).
• Work on various aspects of system development including concept development, system design, performance requirements definition, and integration.
• Collaborate with DevSecOps teams to ensure software products meet defined SRS.
• Participate in Agile product development and CI/CD processes.
• Use tools such as DOORS, SysML/UML, Cameo, MagicDraw, or IBM Rhapsody for modeling and documentation.
• Write and automate test scripts using Robot Framework.
• Support both systems engineering and software engineering roles, and develop readiness solutions for complex systems.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering fields such as System Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science/Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, or equivalent.
• Minimum 2 years of relevant work experience.
• Flexibility to work non-standard shifts.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret Level Clearance.

• Familiar with data science concepts and programming languages like Python.
• Familiar with Interface Design Documents and message updates.
• Strong teamwork, communication, and presentation skills.
• Experience with Linux-based software testing.
• Experience with Agile product development and CI/CD processes.
• Experience with requirements development and DOORS or similar requirements tracing tools.
• Experience with test automation with Robot Framework.
• Experience with systems engineering and software engineering roles.
• Experience with continuous integration frameworks.
• Experience with DOORS, SysML/UML, Cameo, MagicDraw, or IBM Rhapsody.
