Systems Development Engineer, Tech Deploy- Systems Integration

About the role

This Systems Development Engineer role at Amazon focuses on developing and delivering advanced technology systems for fulfillment operations. The position is part of the Technology Deployment – Systems Integration team, which innovates and enhances the deployment process of complex systems. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure high-quality project delivery while capturing the voice of the customer. The role requires a blend of technical expertise and strong interpersonal skills to navigate complex problem spaces.

Responsibilities

• Support the installation of complex cross-functional projects with considerable impact.
• Work with internal and external engineering teams to successfully deliver high-quality cross-functional projects.
• Contribute to project priorities, establishing milestones, and driving schedules to meet deadlines.
• Participate in design reviews and support execution efforts between internal teams and outside vendors.
• Communicate project status and produce clear summaries for the projects owned.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Systems Engineering, or a related field.
• Experience in Unix, or experience scripting in one or more languages such as Bash, Python, Perl, or Ruby.
• Experience programming with at least one modern language such as C++, C#, Java, Python, Golang, PowerShell, or Ruby.
• 3+ years of motor controls experience including motor starts, variable frequency drives, and standard electrical components.
• 3+ years’ control system experience including PLC/IPC-based controls design, development, implementation, testing, and support.

Pay

$129,200 – $174,800 per year
