About the role
This Systems Development Engineer role at Amazon focuses on developing and delivering advanced technology systems for fulfillment operations. The position is part of the Technology Deployment – Systems Integration team, which innovates and enhances the deployment process of complex systems. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure high-quality project delivery while capturing the voice of the customer. The role requires a blend of technical expertise and strong interpersonal skills to navigate complex problem spaces.
Responsibilities
- Support the installation of complex cross-functional projects with considerable impact.
- Work with internal and external engineering teams to successfully deliver high-quality cross-functional projects.
- Contribute to project priorities, establishing milestones, and driving schedules to meet deadlines.
- Participate in design reviews and support execution efforts between internal teams and outside vendors.
- Communicate project status and produce clear summaries for the projects owned.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Systems Engineering, or a related field.
- Experience in Unix, or experience scripting in one or more languages such as Bash, Python, Perl, or Ruby.
- Experience programming with at least one modern language such as C++, C#, Java, Python, Golang, PowerShell, or Ruby.
- 3+ years of motor controls experience including motor starts, variable frequency drives, and standard electrical components.
- 3+ years’ control system experience including PLC/IPC-based controls design, development, implementation, testing, and support.
Pay
$129,200 – $174,800 per year
