Systems Design Engineer
What's the Job?
Address complex hardware and software issues in data center environments through ticketing systems such as JIRA. Debug and root cause analysis of systems involving CPUs, GPUs, and related hardware components. Monitor data center operations for issues like power outages, network disruptions, and cooling leaks, ensuring swift resolution. Physically install, replace, and troubleshoot hardware components, including GPUs and server systems. Collaborate with vendors, OEMs, and internal teams to communicate issues and drive continuous improvement initiatives.

- Proven experience working with complex data center systems, including CPU and GPU hardware.
- Strong debugging skills with knowledge of firmware, BIOS, and OS issues, especially related to GPUs.
- Familiarity with ticketing systems such as JIRA and scripting for log analysis and automation.
- Ability to work physically with hardware, including installation and troubleshooting in a lab or data center setting.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a team environment.
About the Role
The Systems Design Engineer will be an integral part of the Data Center Platform Engineering Group (DPEG), supporting complex systems and ensuring optimal performance in a demanding on-site environment. The ideal candidate will demonstrate problem-solving expertise, effective communication skills, and a proactive approach to technical challenges, aligning seamlessly with the organization’s commitment to innovation and excellence.
