Systems Analyst II

Responsibilities

• Gathers and documents application requirements
• Applies programming techniques and data structuring to specific problems or requests
• Analyzes existing programs, corrects errors, and tests changes to achieve desired results
• Compiles and writes documentation of program development and revisions, annotating the code in the Zachry development and systems environments
• Participates on agile teams in the developer role
• Supports applications through coordination and collaboration with development and infrastructure teams
• Tests applications using automated testing tools
• Affords assistance to other developers with complex programming projects
• Communicates with staff and management to establish developing objectives
• Performs other duties and projects as assigned by management

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Information Science, Computer Science, Engineering, or Business with a concentration in management information systems, or related field
• At least 5 years’ experience as an individual contributor
• Thorough knowledge of current technological trends in the software development industry, such as OO programming, multi-tier development, and web services
• Proven ability to communicate complex technical issues in business terms, both written and verbally
• Experience with MySQL, MariaDB, MS SQL Server, C++, Python, JavaScript, PHP, and Visual Basic
• Experience with git
