Key Responsibilities
- Support the implementation of benefit policy changes for multiple healthcare customers.
- Analyze and assess business requirements, system enhancements, and regulatory changes.
- Perform detailed systems analysis within the NASCO benefits and claims processing environment.
- Create and maintain benefit file Customer Service Requests (CSRs).
- Develop comprehensive test cases based on system requirements and benefit design specifications.
- Execute claims testing, validate system changes, and ensure accurate implementation of enhancements.
- Interpret and analyze business documentation including BDDs, SERs, and PCRs.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders, developers, testers, and project teams to ensure successful delivery of benefit changes.
- Identify, document, and communicate system impacts, risks, and recommendations.
- Support troubleshooting, issue resolution, and post-implementation validation activities.
- Maintain detailed documentation of requirements, testing results, and implementation activities.
- Ensure adherence to quality standards while delivering projects within established timelines.
Required Qualifications
- Must have 2–3 years of NASCO system experience.
- Strong knowledge of benefit file configuration and claims testing within NASCO.
- Proven experience performing benefit file system analysis.
- Experience creating detailed test cases based on system requirements.
- Experience writing and maintaining benefit file CSRs.
- Ability to read and interpret business documents, including: Business Design Documents (BDDs), System Enhancement Requests (SERs), Project Change Requests (PCRs).
- Working knowledge of NASCO, BFAST, BFM, and related NASCO application tools.
- Knowledge of medical insurance claims processing.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Demonstrated organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail.
- Able to work independently while managing multiple priorities.
- Self-starter with a strong sense of accountability and commitment to delivering high-quality results.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project.
- Minimum 3 years of relevant technical work experience.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience supporting BCBSM claims, benefits, or healthcare-related projects.
- Advanced proficiency with BFAST and Benefit File tools.
- Experience working with SharePoint.
- 3+ years of healthcare systems experience.
- Experience supporting large-scale healthcare benefit implementations.
- Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Business, Healthcare Administration, or a related field preferred.
