About the role
As part of the Global Product Integration & Connectivity team, this position will provide product testing and release for a variety of products and delivery methods. The role focuses on the testing and release of LSEG products and services via network delivery offerings in a client environment. You will liaise with development, quality assurance, distribution management, product management, and Client Technical Implementation groups to ensure seamless deployment of new software releases and hardware platforms. This position requires in-depth technical knowledge, as the successful candidate will be on the critical path for pre-sales, early access program (EAP), beta, and ready-for-revenue generation (RRG) releases.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate internal or external partners to collaborate on testing and release activities and drive results.
- Responsible for LSEG product test and release work over a variety of networks.
- Perform end-to-end qualification from LSEG Data Center distribution to desktop.
- Maintain a high level of technical and product expertise through training, self-study, and product release functions.
- Prevent technical deployment issues at customer production environments by establishing conformity against customer site deployment requirements.
- Review documentation supplied by development for inclusion in global product manuals; create installation manuals or provide installation details where documentation is missing.
- Contribute to authoring Technical Operations Notices (TON) and Notes for the Record (NFR) to inform internal stakeholders of approved product deployments.
- Maintain up-to-date lab infrastructure that emulates clients' environments.
Requirements
- Minimum 5 years of experience in quality assurance (manual or automation).
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Software Engineering, Computer Science, Electronic Engineering, or a related field.
Skills
- Knowledge of operating systems: Windows Server, Linux, Red Hat, CentOS.
- Understanding of local and wide area networking technologies, including Ethernet, routers, bridges, Ethernet switches, firewalls, and routing.
- Proficiency in networking protocols (TCP/IP, UDP, DNS, multicast).
- Shell programming and extensive knowledge of UNIX tools and utilities (e.g., vi, vim, sed, awk, grep, Perl).
- Python coding skills.
- Experience with unit test tools, user interface test tools, and test management tools such as TestRail.
- Knowledge of other programming languages (Java, SQL).
- Strong English communication skills.
- Proactive, patient, and responsible with an innovative mentality.
- Ability to manage stakeholder relationships at all levels.
