About the role
Gemini Industries Inc. seeks an innovative Systems Administrator to support the Secretary of the Air Force - Concepts, Development, and Management Office (SAF/CDM).
Responsibilities
- Support classified, unclassified, and cloud-based networks and related systems, workstations, and associated software.
- Work with the Gemini IT Team Lead to execute all tasks and requests for data.
- Provide assistance in account management services.
- Provide support for IT software installation and maintenance.
- Conduct tests of new software releases and modifications.
- Ensure stability and backup of IT software upgrades.
- Perform computer and network hardware troubleshooting and repairs.
- Offer technical support for IT systems, including connection control and management.
- Coordinate the resolution of problems and conduct logical operating system fault monitoring.
- Backup and restore IT systems, perform reconfiguration and diagnostics, and ensure end-to-end physical connectivity.
- Manage current physical configurations of IT systems and monitor applications/system software and hardware operations.
- Identify and document the functional and physical characteristics of IT systems and changes.
- Participate in system configuration development and maintenance reviews.
Qualifications
- Minimum of five (5) years of work-related experience supporting classified and unclassified system environments.
- Minimum four (4) years of work-related experience supporting a DoD component with IT engineering focused on operations and maintenance of HW, SW, and communications support systems.
- IAT Level II certification in accordance with DoD 8570.01-M (CompTIA Security+ CE).
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
- Good customer service skills.
