Systems Administrator - Journeyman

Responsibilities

• Provides system administration of Network, Web, and/or communication systems, including Local Area Network (LAN) and Wide Area Network (WAN) systems, involving network security.
• Prepares technical implementation plans that provide integrated solutions including actions, milestones, timelines, and critical paths required for complete solutions.
• Performs the daily activities of configuration and operation of business systems which may be mainframe, mini, client/server, or cloud based.
• Optimizes system operation and resource utilization and performs system capacity analysis and planning.
• Provides assistance to users in accessing and using business systems.
• Supports access control for SharePoint groups as needed and support group administrators to maintain their SharePoint data effectively and securely.

• Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Must be a US citizen
• 5+ years of experience in Microsoft Windows and Linux system administration
• 5+ years of cybersecurity related work experience
• Secret Security clearance
• Bachelor’s Degree or related years of experience within DoD setting

Qualifications

• All positions at Applied Research Solutions are subject to background investigations.
• Employment is contingent upon successful completion of a background investigation including criminal history and identity check.
• The expected annual salary range: $120k - $140k.
• Salary is dependent upon the role and associated responsibilities, candidate's experience, work location and qualifications to include education/training, and key skills.
