Responsibilities
- Maintains detailed documentation of system configurations, procedures and changes.
- Monitors, administers, and restores mission IT systems.
- Administers and repairs servers, databases, KVM devices, workstations, and complex visual display systems across multiple classified and unclassified networks.
- Works with vendors to resolve Tier 4 issues.
- Administers and coordinates hardware/software IT system improvements and/or enhancements.
- Monitors IT systems utilizing industry leading processes, technologies, and tools.
- Provides timely resolution to tickets using processes, procedures, knowledge articles, and troubleshooting skills.
- Works and coordinates with others to accomplish mission goals for IT systems.
- Plans implementation of enhancements to mission IT systems.
- Oversees the installation, configuration and maintenance of servers, storage, and workstations including physical and virtual environments.
- Collaborates with stakeholders to understand business needs and requirements and provide appropriate solutions.
- Maintains detailed documentation of system configurations, procedures and changes.
- Creates reports on system performance, security incidents and other key metrics.
- Collaborates with other IT teams to ensure coordinated delivery of IT services.
- Provides recommendations for system improvements based on analysis and industry best practices.
- May assist in the development of IT policies and procedures.
- Participates in special projects as required.
Qualifications
- Education: Technical Training, Certification(s) or Degree.
- Experience: 3+ years of related experience.
- Required Technical Skills: Must possess appropriate and current DoD Information Assurance (IA) Certification to be considered for employment: CompTIA Security+ CE is the minimum certification. Experience with ThinkLogical IT systems preferred. Proficiency in managing server environments such as Windows/Linus. Experience with Active Directory and other core IT services. Familiarity with backup and disaster recovery best practices. Strong problem-solving skills to diagnose and resolve system issues and security threats quickly.
- Certifications in networks highly desired.
- Clearance Level: TS/SCI with Polygraph.
