Responsibilities
- Supports implementation, troubleshooting, and maintenance of IT systems.
- Manages IT system infrastructure and associated processes.
- Provides support for day-to-day operations, monitoring, and problem resolution for various IT devices.
- Handles Tier 1 and Tier 2 help desk and escalation issues.
- Communicates status to agency management and internal customers.
- Supports the dispatch system and handles hardware-related issues.
- Configures and manages UNIX and Windows operating systems.
- Installs, loads, troubleshoots, and maintains network components.
- Implements operating system enhancements and updates to improve system reliability, security, and performance.
- Creates and maintains RedHat Linux virtual machines in a cloud infrastructure (Amazon AWS).
- Evaluates systems for IAVA compliance and applies necessary security updates/patches.
- Performs command line system administration tasks on virtual machines.
- Handles regular system backups and periodically tests backups for functionality.
- Communicates with developers and DevOps team members for system administration support.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Applies patches and upgrades.
- Troubleshoots server issues.
- Administers customer accounts.
- Deploys monitoring tools.
- Deploys applications and tools.
- Assists with escalated customer tickets.
- Installs and cabled equipment.

Pay
- The salary range for this position is: $155,000-205,000
Qualifications
- TS/SCI clearance with FS Polygraph
- Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline
- 10 years’ experience as a Systems Administrator in programs of similar scope, type, and complexity
- 5 years of additional Systems Administration experience may be substituted for a bachelor’s degree
- Linux command line system administration (CentOS, RedHat, Amazon Linux, or equivalent)
- Experience applying system updates via yum or equivalent patching repository
- Experience working within a cloud environment (Amazon AWS, Azure, or equivalent cloud infrastructure with virtual machines)
- Experience or knowledge of RedSeal Network Mapping tool a plus
- Knowledge of software deployed on systems a plus but not required (Elasticsearch, Docker, Kubernetes, Nifi)
