Systems Administrator - Mid-level

About the Role

BI&A is seeking a Systems Administrator to maintain the smooth operation of multi-user computer systems, ensuring optimal performance, security, and reliability. This role involves monitoring system resources, managing user accounts, coordinating with network engineers, and providing technical support to ensure efficient and secure computing environments.

Requirements

• 8 years of experience in Systems Administration roles or a highly related field with similar scope and responsibilities. A Bachelor’s degree may substitute for 4 years of experience, and a Master’s degree may substitute for 6 years of experience.
• TS/SCI with an active CI Polygraph.
• Proven experience managing multi-user computing environments.
• Experience with backup and recovery procedures.
• Demonstrated experience with system security administration.
• Experience with data migrations between systems.
• Strong knowledge of operating systems (Windows Server, Linux/Unix).
• Proficiency in user account management and access control.
• Understanding of system performance monitoring and tuning.
• Understanding of networking concepts and protocols.
• Willingness and ability to work flexible schedules, including potential shift work.

Desired Qualifications

• Industry certifications (e.g., CompTIA Server+, Microsoft Certified Systems Administrator, Red Hat Certified System Administrator).
• Experience with virtualization technologies.
• Knowledge of scripting languages (PowerShell, Bash, Python).
• Experience with cloud computing platforms.
• ITIL or other IT service management framework knowledge.

Pay

$109,000 - $154,000 (contingent upon candidate experience, qualifications, market, and business considerations). The position is contingent upon program award.
