Systems Administrator
Responsibilities
- Administer, maintain, and monitor corporate systems including servers (Windows/Linux), Active Directory, Exchange/O365, and virtualization platforms (VMware/Hyper-V).
- Perform routine system maintenance, patch management, and backups.
- Manage user accounts, permissions, and group policies in Active Directory.
- Troubleshoot and resolve Tier 2 hardware, software, and network issues escalated from the helpdesk.
- Support onboarding/offboarding processes including provisioning accounts, hardware, and software.
- Maintain documentation for systems, procedures, and configurations.
- Ensure compliance with IT security policies and assist in audits as required.
- Provide support for remote users, VPN, and mobile device management (MDM).
Qualifications
- Must be able to be onsite in Windsor Mill, MD, 5 days a week
- 3–5+ years of experience in system administration and helpdesk support.
- Strong knowledge of Windows Server, Active Directory, Exchange/O365, DNS, DHCP, and group policy management.
- Proficiency in troubleshooting Tier 2 IT issues across hardware, software, and networking.
- Experience with virtualization platforms and backup solutions.
- Familiarity with IT ticketing systems and remote support tools.
- Strong communication skills and a user-focused mindset.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., CompTIA, Microsoft, ITIL) are a plus

Pay
The annual salary range for this position is $60,000 to $70,000. Actual compensation will depend on a range of factors, including but not limited to the individual’s skills, experience, qualifications, certifications, location, other business and organizational needs, and applicable employment laws.
