Systems Administrator

Key Responsibilities

• Install, configure, and maintain hardware and software systems, including workstations, file servers, and web servers
• Administer user accounts, permissions, and access controls in accordance with DoD security requirements
• Perform system upgrades, patch management, and vulnerability remediation
• Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues related to network connectivity, system functionality, and cybersecurity incidents
• Implement and manage security tools such as firewalls, antivirus solutions, and intrusion detection systems
• Ensure system configurations remain compliant with DoD cybersecurity policies and Cyber Workforce (CWF) requirements
• Develop, maintain, and update system documentation, standard operating procedures, and user guides
• Provide responsive, customer-focused technical support and training to end users
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support operational and project-based IT initiatives

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field
• Minimum of 3 years of professional experience in systems administration or a related IT discipline
• Active DoD Top Secret clearance (T5) investigation eligibility required at time of hire
• DoD 8570/8140 compliant IAT Level II certification (e.g., Security+, CCNA Security, or equivalent) required prior to start
• Experience supporting Navy or other DoD environments
• Hands-on experience with Windows and/or Linux operating systems in enterprise environments
• Familiarity with network management, virtualization, and cybersecurity best practices
• Strong troubleshooting, documentation, and communication skills
• Ability to operate effectively in a team-oriented, mission-driven environment
