Systems Administrator Associate Part Time

Specific Responsibilities

  • Provides recommendations regarding infrastructure planning and budgeting.
  • Maintains growth statistics, space forecasts, backup systems, and infrastructure inventories.
  • Performs data backups and recoveries.
  • Maintains production change control schedule and participates in change control.
  • Performs infrastructure upgrades including planning and scheduling, testing, and coordination.
  • Performs infrastructure administration setup.
  • Captures and coordinates infrastructure planning and management.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Successful completion of a full 4-year course of study in an accredited college or university leading to a bachelor's or higher degree in a major such as computer science, information technology, or related; OR appropriate combination of education and experience.
  • No experience required.
  • Enterprise Applications: ImageNow, Instructure Canvas.
  • Infrastructure: Active Directory design, administration, identity management/provisioning, information security, LDAP, Microsoft Exchange, Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Access, Outlook), Microsoft SharePoint, Server hardware, SQL/MySQL/Postgres, Tomcat, VMware vCloud Director, VMware vSphere, Windows Operating System.
  • Programming Languages and Frameworks: Microsoft PowerShell, PL/SQL, Shell Scripting.
  • Certification/Licensure: Microsoft (MCSE, MCSD, MCSA), SQL Server, VMware.
  • Compliance: HIPAA.
  • Analytical: Critical thinking, decision making, enterprise directory services, judgment, problem solving, troubleshooting, use-case analysis.
  • Project: Facilitate collaboration, iterative & incremental development, organizational skills, planning.
