Systems Administrator-Associate/IT Administrator I

Highlights

The Team is divided into 7 tasks, each contributing to the mission's success. The contract offers flexible hours. Customer support is crucial, and you'll need to understand global requests. You will become proficient in Active Directory, software patching, Windows Desktops, printers, password resets, and troubleshooting.

Responsibilities

• Provide all aspects of desktop support for the customer.
• Troubleshoot, password reset, and handle other customer support activities.
• Imaging and deployment of workstations.
• Document inventory moves.
• Support internal and external customers.
• Install, configure, and support systems, subsystems, components.
• Understand all technical aspects of the system, including software/database operation, hardware, system configurations, network architecture, system architectures, systems interfaces, and protocols.
• Maintain the system, network, hardware, and software.
• Monitor systems and networks to ensure network availability for all system users and perform necessary maintenance.
• Interface with engineering and program management.
• Interface with hardware and software vendors to obtain technical information and assistance.
• Plan, coordinate, and implement network security measures.
• Implement information assurance and information security activities and protocols.
• Define and execute installation or tear-down, start-up, testing, shutdown, and recovery processes for systems and components.
• May supervise other network support and client server specialists.

Requirements

• Education: Associate’s Degree in computer science, information science, engineering, business, or related scientific or technical discipline or equivalent.
• Experience: One (1) Year. Install, configure, and support systems, subsystems, components. Understand all technical aspects of the system in detail including software/database operation, hardware, system configurations, network architecture, system architectures, systems interfaces, and protocols. Operate and maintain the system, network, hardware, and software. Monitor systems and networks to ensure network availability for all system users and perform necessary maintenance. Interface with engineering and program management. Interface with hardware and software vendors to obtain technical information and assistance. Plan, coordinate, and implement network security measures. Implement information assurance and information security activities and protocols. Define and execute installation or tear-down, start-up, testing, shutdown, and recovery processes for systems and components. May supervise other network support and client server specialists.
• Certifications: IAT Level II (Security+ CE, GSEC, SSCP).
• Clearance: Ability to obtain/maintain US Secret clearance required.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of Active Directory, Windows 10, and Linux and networking.
• Experience in installation, maintenance, configuration, and integrity of computer software/hardware.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, customer- and detail-oriented, and good decision-making abilities.
• Knowledge of Tumbleweed sFTP and PowerShell are a plus.
