Responsibilities

• Supports implementation, troubleshooting, and maintenance of IT systems.
• Manages IT system infrastructure and related processes.
• Provides Tier I (Help Desk) and Tier 2 (Escalation) problem identification, diagnosis, and resolution for IT systems.
• Communicates status updates to agency management and internal customers.
• Serves as a point of contact for dispatch system and hardware issues, remaining involved in the resolution process.
• Configures and manages UNIX and Windows operating systems, installs/loads operating system software, troubleshoots, maintains integrity, and configures network components.
• Optimizes system operations and resource utilization, performs system capacity analysis and planning, and provides detailed analysis and feedback on escalated tickets.
• Supports the design of systems, mission architecture, and associated hardware.
• Possesses a working knowledge of system administration interdependencies within the Service Oriented Architecture (SOA).
• Analyzes and resolves complex problems related to server hardware applications and software integration.

Qualifications

• Fifteen (15) years' experience as a Systems Administrator (SA) in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity is required.
• A Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline from an accredited college or university is required.
• Five (5) years of additional SA experience may be substituted for a Bachelor's degree.
• The position requires an active Security Clearance with an appropriate Polygraph.
