Position Summary
As a Systems Administrator you support the Naval Undersea Warfare Center (NUWC) in Newport, RI and possess experience with NMCI Enterprise Tool (NET). You will be responsible for tracking, ordering, analyzing, and providing training related to NMCI hardware and software assets.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities
- Cook up NMCI asset orders with NUWCDIVNPT command NMCI POCs, perform asset management and reporting for deployed NMCI assets, and reconcile assets using the NET.
- Process Move, Add, Change (MAC) submissions on new and existing NMCI assets, track open MAC requests, and facilitate MAC completion using MAC system tools in NET.
- Compile NMCI cost and technical data from NET, analyze data for current and future requirements, and summarize data and analysis in a report to address GFI request.
- Provide life-cycle management for NMCI software including analysis of license expiration dates, and submission of a MAC request in NET for license renewal and changes.
- Cook up with command NMCI POCs to make sure assets and peripherals are available, validate scheduling, and perform asset reconciliation upon completion of asset replacement.
- Upon receipt of service request, perform issue resolution. If unable to resolve the issue identified in the service request ticket, escalate the request to Government NMCI Activity Contract Technical Representative (ACTR) and track NMCI trouble ticket through completion.
- Provide users with NMCI related IT/IA training on enterprise systems.
Required Education, Skills, and Experience
- Bachelor's Degree in from an accredited university in a relevant discipline such as Information Technology, Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Science, or Software Engineering.
- CompTIA Cloud+ OR CompTIA Security+
Physical Demands and Expectations
- Regular physical activity to include walking, climbing stairs, bending, stooping, reaching, lifting (up to 30 pounds), and standing;
- Occasional prolonged sitting;
- Ability to speak, read, hear and write, with or without assistance;
- Ability to use phone and computer systems, copier, fax and other office equipment.
