System Administrator 3 with Security Clearance

About the role

Avid Technology Professionals is seeking a highly skilled System Administrator to join our team in Annapolis Junction, MD.

Responsibilities

• Manage and maintain AWS cloud resources such as EC2, S3, VPC, IAM, and other core services.
• Implement and manage SaltStack, Ansible, Bash, and Python scripts for automation and configuration management.
• Support Windows Server 2019 and 2022 environments.
• Support Linux distributions like RHEL8/9, Amazon Linux 2023 within AWS environments.
• Oversee the day-to-day operations of IT systems, ensuring they are running smoothly and efficiently.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment on system requirements and objectives.

Requirements

• Required: IAT II Certification.
• Required: 15 years of experience as a System Administrator in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity.
• Preferred: Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline from an accredited college or university.
• Preferred: 5 years of additional System Administrator experience may be substituted for a bachelor’s degree.

Qualifications

• Strong understanding of IT infrastructure, networking, and security principles.
• Experience with virtualization technologies and cloud computing platforms.
• Proficiency in scripting languages (e.g., Bash, Python).
• Knowledge of operating systems (Windows Server 2019/2022, RHEL8/9, Amazon Linux 2023).
• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work independently and as part of a team.
