About the role
Join GDIT as a Systems Administrator Senior to support the mission of US Army Intelligence and Security Command (INSCOM). Your responsibilities include system administration, personnel management, and ensuring the reliability and performance of IT systems.
Responsibilities
- Assigns personnel to various projects and evaluates their work.
- Ensures long-term requirements of systems operations and administration are included in the overall information systems planning.
- Installs, maintains, configures, and manages computer software and operating systems.
- Manages IT system infrastructure and processes related to these systems.
- Provides support for implementation, troubleshooting, and maintenance of IT systems.
- Supports day-to-day operations, monitoring, and problem resolution for client/server/storage/network devices, mobile devices, etc.
- Identifies, diagnoses, and resolves problems related to applications, operating systems, hardware, and network components.
- Configures and manages UNIX and Windows operating systems.
- Installs and loads operating system and application software.
- Isolates and resolves hardware and software problems.
- Trains and mentors junior staff members.
- Collaborates with cross-functional teams to ensure successful project delivery.
Requirements
- Education: Bachelor’s degree.
- Experience: 12+ years of related experience.
- Technical skills: In-depth experience in trouble-shooting IT systems, providing detailed analysis and feedback to agency management and internal customers for escalated tickets.
- Certifications: DoD 8570.01-M IAT Level II/8140 Computing Environment (CE) Certification as determined by the Program Manager is required prior to support on contract.
- Security clearance level: TS/SCI.
- US citizenship required.
- Ability to attain a CI Polygraph for certain positions as determined by the contract.
- Position may require lifting of objects (i.e., IT Hardware), reaching/bending/kneeling (i.e., plug in cables), and other moderately strenuous activity.
- Travel may be required to support the mission.
Qualifications
- Experience with Azure Active Directory (AD).
- Experience with computing and IT hardware.
- Experience with Microsoft Azure Administrator certification.
Skills
- Experience with operating systems and network administration.
- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Pay
The likely salary range for this position is $96,569 - $130,651. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location, and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.

Scheduled Weekly Hours: 40
Travel Required: Less than 10%
