About the role
Belay Technologies is seeking a Senior System/Network Administrator with database experience to support the implementation, maintenance, and optimization of IT systems. This role is responsible for managing daily operations across client/server, storage, network, and mobile environments, while providing Tier 1 and Tier 2 support to diagnose and resolve issues.
Responsibilities
- Configure and maintain UNIX and Windows systems, ensuring system integrity, and enhance performance reliability across the infrastructure.
- Provide support for implementation, troubleshooting and maintenance of IT systems.
- Manage the daily activities of configuration and operation of IT systems.
- Provide assistance to users in accessing and using IT systems.
- Provide support to IT systems including day-to-day operations, monitoring and problem resolution for all of the client/server/storage/network devices, mobile devices, etc.
- Provide Tier 1 (Help Desk) and Tier 2 (Escalation) problem identification, diagnosis and resolution.
- Provide support for the escalation and communication of status to agency management and internal customers.
- Optimize system operations and resource utilization, and perform system capacity analysis and planning.
- Provide support for the dispatch system and hardware problems and remains involved in the resolution process.
- Provide in-depth experience in trouble-shooting IT systems.
- Build, configure, monitor and maintain virtual environments.
- Build, configure, monitor and maintain storage environments.
- Provide detailed analysis and feedback to agency management and internal customers for escalated tickets.
Qualifications
- Ten (10) years’ experience as a System Administrator in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity.
- A Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline from an accredited college or university.
- Five (5) years of additional System Administrator experience may be substituted for a bachelor’s degree.
- TS/SCI clearance with polygraph.
Level 2 System/Network Administrator Capabilities
- Experience with MIM and Majestic is a plus.
- Provide support for implementation, troubleshooting and maintenance of IT systems.

- Provide assistance to users in accessing and using IT systems.
- Provide support to IT systems including day-to-day operations, monitoring and problem resolution for all of the client/server/storage/network devices, mobile devices, etc.

- Provide detailed analysis and feedback to agency management and internal customers for escalated tickets.
Preferred Database Experience
- Maintain the integrity, security, and availability of database, Administer, maintain, and Implement policies and procedures for ensuring the security and integrity of the database(s).
- Organize and format data for efficient query and storage processes.
- Establish and maintain database user accounts.
- Perform disaster recovery, performance analysis and tuning, index maintenance, and monitoring of data.
- Develop policies and procedures for ensuring the security and integrity of the database(s).
- Evaluate requirements and recommends available DBMS products.
- Perform database and software life-cycle activities to ensure highest level of system performance and availability.
- Provide server administration with a variety of database products that include Oracle, SQL Server, and SYBASE.
