System Manager Sterile Processing & BHIP

About the role

The sterile processing system manager oversees the operations, strategy, and performance of the sterile processing department across multiple campuses. This role requires expertise in decontamination processes, sterilization methods, and surgical instrument tracking systems.

Responsibilities

• Manage all processes related to cleaning, assembling, and sterilizing surgical instruments and gastrointestinal scopes.
• Supervise sterile processing at the BHIP location.
• Act as a change agent, collaborative team player, accountable, and coach promoting innovation and a culture of inclusion and patient-centered care.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree required.
• 5-7 years of experience in sterile processing.
• 5 years of supervisory experience in sterile processing.
• Certified Registered Central Service Technician (CRCST) or Certification Board for Sterile Processing and Distribution (CBSPD).
• Certified Healthcare Leader (CHL) or Certified Sterile Processing Management (CSPM).
• Within 12 months of hire: Certified Endoscopic Reprocessor (CER) or Certified Flexible Endoscope Reprocessor (CFER).

Qualifications

• Experience in project management and strategic initiatives.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage diverse staff members and stakeholders.
• Proficiency in using Microsoft Products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and navigating in Teams.
• Epic Experience preferred.
