System Integration Manager
About the role
MTSI is seeking a Systems Integration Manager to serve as the primary technical authority and strategic lead for the High Accuracy Detection and Exploitation System (HADES) program. This role acts as a critical link between internal engineering and the broader Army enterprise, serving as the primary point of contact for subcontractors, Army Subject Matter Experts (SMEs), Integrated Product Teams (IPTs), and other Army Programs. The position provides direction for the Systems Integration Lab (SIL), synthesizing feedback from Army experts to facilitate the development and testing of advanced technology to meet current and future mission needs. A central responsibility is overseeing systems integration to the HADES MOSA Digital Backbone, ensuring a "plug-and-play" architecture that allows seamless communication across the aircraft’s central data highway while maintaining flexibility, upgradability, and readiness for future threats.
Responsibilities
- Lead the integration of various sensors and mission tools into the HADES MOSA Digital Backbone, ensuring a "plug-and-play" environment where new technology can be added or updated without rebuilding the entire system.
- Use input from Army IPTs and SMEs to direct development and testing within the SIL, ensuring the lab environment accurately tests how new components interact with the Digital Backbone to meet current and future mission needs.
- Act as the main bridge between the lab and the Army enterprise, coordinating with Army Programs and SMEs to align the integration of new technologies with larger military objectives.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for external vendors, overseeing their technical progress and ensuring their hardware/software is fully compatible with the HADES MOSA architecture.
- Represent the program at conferences and high-level presentations, communicating the successes of modular integration and the capabilities of the Digital Backbone to Army leadership and industry partners.
- Represent the program's technical interests within Integrated Product Teams (IPTs), ensuring integration milestones are met and the HADES platform remains fully compatible with other Army systems.
Requirements
- Active Secret clearance minimum; Top Secret/SCI preferred.
- Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field.
- 7 to 10 years of technical management, liaison roles, or systems engineering experience within DoD programs.
- Demonstrated experience managing the integration of complex systems, specifically focusing on modular, "plug-and-play" architectures and central data networks (Digital Backbones).
- Proven ability to translate high-level requirements from expert groups (IPTs/SMEs) into concrete plans for lab development and testing.
- Strong background acting as a primary point of contact for subcontractors and navigating complex Army organizational structures.
- Experience presenting technical roadmaps, modular architecture benefits, and program updates to senior military leaders and at industry conferences.
