Responsibilities
- Project manage software implementations throughout all phases of the project by bringing all key resources together to properly implement the entire installation.
- Work closely with customer PACS administrators and HL7 EMR teams to properly interface software products with Hospital systems.
- Work closely with customers to install hardware and software as directed.
- Conduct and assist with training to customers on software products.
- Provide post installation support including user education as required.
- Work closely with customers, local sales representatives, product engineers, marketing managers, administrative, and other field support personnel to provide the highest level of customer support and satisfaction.
- Provide technical sales assistance for sales team.
- Help develop and generate sales leads.
- Conduct product demonstrations with key decision-makers.
- Collaborate with sales teams, customers IT and Interface engineers to provide technical reviews to assess equipment needs and to determine system requirements and explain product and service offerings to customers.
- Provide accurate and timely quotations through needs assessments provided through customer interviews and in field site surveys. Maintain a high degree of accuracy by staying current with product and technology changes through consultation with Marketing, Software Development, Sales and Field Service counterparts.
- Strategize with local sales reps and field service engineers to maximize Olympus business opportunities.
- Provide technical site surveys to understand customer workflows, physical room layout and logistics to properly plan out software project installations.
- Submit all necessary paperwork, including travel itineraries, trip reports, activity reports, expense reports and service reports, as required, accurately and in a timely manner.
- Develop and maintain effective knowledge of competitive products, strategies, and organizations.
- Develop knowledge of clinical applications and competitive strategies through the use of in-house literature, on the job training, marketing material, and sales brochures.
- Manage projects over an extended period of time with organized and disciplined prioritization considering short-, medium- and long-term goals.
- Establish, develop or maintain field contact with key customers, clinicians and researchers, and other decision makers in assigned accounts including travel to customer facilities and onsite support. Adhere to all customer vendor credentialing requirements when visiting medical facilities.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Associate degree in Electrical, Electronics, Bio-Medical, Business or Computer Science from an accredited college or university (or equivalent knowledge), required.
- Minimum of 2 to 4 years experience in field support, software project management, software sales, or related experience required.
- Proven experience with implementing HL7 and DICOM protocols.
- Successful completion of Network Administration (NET+) and A+ or similar industry recognized computer/networking certification courses.
- Proficient in technical related job functions.
- Proven ability to work under pressure.
- Demonstrated decision making ability towards solving problems, and effectively communicate these solutions to co-workers and customers.
- Must be a self-starter requiring minimal supervision.
- Must be able to work within an operating room environment.
- Excellent understanding of business policies and practices.
- Proficient at project managing complex Medical Software and Hardware installations.
- Excellent communication skills both written and verbal.
- Valid Driver’s License required.
- Ability to travel (>60%).
- Ability to work flexible hours as required to meet installation project objectives.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree is preferred.
- Experience in medical instrumentation and software installations preferred.
- Medical software installation or software project management experience preferred.
- Solid working knowledge of electronics, personal computer hardware and software, and LAN concepts preferred.
