System Engineer
About the role
We're looking for a hands-on Systems Engineer to work across complex systems, contribute to scalable infrastructure, and support integration challenges. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a lab environment, enjoys problem-solving in real time, and is excited about working on production systems that support active satellite missions. Additional experience with RF engineering is a bonus.
Responsibilities
- Develop and enhance software that integrates satellite simulation, channel emulation, and radio modeling systems
- Take ownership of implementing a new operational mode for an existing channel emulator
- Build and maintain software that connects simulation environments with emulation infrastructure
- Revive and modernize radio simulation software to ensure compatibility across the system
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver a platform that can be leveraged across the organization
Requirements
- US Citizen, GC Holders or Authorized to Work in the U.S.
Qualifications
- Strong Python development experience
- Hands-on experience with AWS (EC2, Lambda, S3, AWS Batch) and CI/CD concepts
- Ability to work across systems and integrate multiple software components into a cohesive platform
- Experience with Docker or other containerization technologies
Skills
- Nice to have: Exposure to RF systems, radio communications, or telecommunications concepts
- Experience working with simulation or emulation environments
- Background in aerospace, satellite systems, or networking technologies
- Systems engineering mindset with the ability to bridge software and infrastructure
