System Engineer
BAE Systems is seeking a System Engineer to support our work as a prime contractor on a high-profile U.S. Navy weapon system. The position supports the SP201 contract, specifically the Coordination Program Area, with processing change requests to Electrical Data Requirement Interfaces. The candidate will conduct impact reviews on contractor documentation to determine if SSP-maintained artifacts require updates and attend program area meetings in support of the coordination program area.
Responsibilities
- Provide engineering support, including updating interface documents from change requests.
- Conduct impact reviews on contractor documentation to assess updates needed for SSP-maintained artifacts.
- Attend program area meetings and other program meetings in support of the coordination program area.
- Communicate, coordinate, collaborate, and work independently without guidance.
Requirements
- Possess or have the ability to obtain a DoD security clearance.
- Degree in Aerospace, Electrical, or Systems Engineering.
- Understanding of Systems Engineering principles.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively with others.
- Demonstrated self-starter with excellent organizational, planning, and follow-up skills.
- Proficient with PC and MS Office Suite.
- At least 4+ years of related work experience.
Preferred Qualifications
- Active DoD Secret security clearance or have held a clearance within the last two years.
- Degree in Electrical Engineering.
- Understanding of detailed engineering principles and experience with Interface Control/Design Drawings.
- Knowledge of DoD Engineering Disciplines.
- Experience with technical presentations and customer-facing activities.
- Familiarity with Functional, Programmatic, and Technical Management knowledge areas.
- Experience with engineering tools/languages including PTC Windchill, IBM DOORS, 2D/3D CAD, and SysML.
- Experience with CDRL’s.
Pay
Full-Time Salary Range: $118,095 - $200,762. Individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including business considerations, local market conditions, internal equity, and candidate qualifications such as skills, education, and experience.
