System Engineer | MPP
About the role
As a Texas Instruments (TI) Systems Engineer, you will work in a vibrant, dynamic, and team-oriented environment with exposure to a variety of state-of-the-art applications. This role focuses on developing cutting-edge multiphase power solutions with leading AI processor vendors and customers. You will engage with top-tier customers in the AI sector early in their design cycles, supporting them with simulations, calculations, and system-level analysis in coordination with product development engineers to ensure TI remains the leading vendor for AI power. The role is based in Austin, near some of our biggest customers, enabling easy face-to-face engagement.
Responsibilities
- Own the design of large system solutions, including controller + power stage, power module, or power block.
- Run analysis of transient performance, protections, and thermals for theoretical designs.
- Develop tools to make processes efficient internally and for customers.
- Coordinate deep dives and design reviews internally and with customers.
- Assist the applications team in first board bring-ups.
- Develop technical customer relationships to align TI’s new product development efforts with their goals.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
- 5+ years of relevant experience.
Qualifications
- Strong understanding of power electronics.
- Experience developing or working with customers on power solutions.
- Strong customer-facing skills.
- Familiarity with lab equipment.
- System-level circuit modeling (SIMPLIS, SPICE, etc.).
- Ability to travel to India.
- Background in multiphase power.
- Ability to establish strong relationships with key customer technologists, both internally and externally.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to quickly ramp on new systems and processes.
- Demonstrated strong interpersonal, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work in teams and collaborate effectively with people in different functions.
- Ability to take initiative and drive for results.
- Strong time management skills enabling on-time project delivery.
