System Engineer (Direct Hire, W2 Only)

About the Role

This is a full-time, permanent on-site System Engineer position based in Grand Haven, MI. The role involves providing technical support and general system engineering for clients, primarily onsite at the home office in Grand Haven or customer sites throughout West Michigan.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical support for hardware, software, and remote systems.
• Perform system engineering tasks with a focus on Microsoft Windows Server and Active Directory.
• Administer networks including DNS, DHCP, TCP/IP, and firewalls.
• Troubleshoot technical issues proactively to identify and prevent problems.
• Engage with clients using strong interpersonal and communication skills.

Requirements

• Strong System Engineering skills with experience in Microsoft Windows Server and Active Directory.
• Experience in Network Administration (DNS, DHCP, TCP/IP, firewalls).
• Technical Support experience in hardware, software, and remote support.
• Effective troubleshooting skills with a proactive approach.
• In-depth knowledge of Information Technology concepts and protocols.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Qualifications

Relevant certifications such as Microsoft Certified Systems Administrator (MCSA) or CompTIA A+ are a plus.

Work Environment

• Mostly onsite at the home office in Grand Haven or customer sites throughout West Michigan.
• On-call duty one weekend every other month.
• Collaborative team environment consisting of Admins, Engineers, Developers, Helpdesk, and office personnel.

Pay

The pay range for this position is $90,000.00 - $115,000.00 per year.
