About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Systems Engineer to join Boeing Global Services (BGS) Engineering team, supporting the Air Dominance Proprietary 2 program in Hazelwood, Missouri. This pivotal role involves applying advanced systems engineering and operations analysis methodologies to evaluate mission effectiveness, operational performance, and system behavior throughout the program lifecycle. The ideal candidate will collaborate across multidisciplinary teams, including engineering, operations, testing, logistics, and program management, to define, assess, and optimize platform capabilities. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to cutting-edge defense programs, ensuring operational excellence and mission success.

Responsibilities

  • Perform operations analysis, systems analysis, and engineering assessments for military platform development programs to ensure mission success and operational efficiency.
  • Support concept development, requirements definition, and system architecture trade studies to optimize platform capabilities.
  • Analyze mission effectiveness, system performance, operational scenarios, and capability impacts to inform decision-making processes.
  • Develop models, simulations, and analytical products to evaluate design alternatives, operational concepts, and system behavior.
  • Support systems engineering activities throughout the program lifecycle, including requirements management, verification planning, and technical reviews.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams encompassing design engineering, testing, integration, logistics, and customer representatives to ensure cohesive project execution.
  • Assess risks, technical performance, readiness levels, and the impact of proposed design changes on mission success.
  • Provide analytical support for system-level decisions, balancing cost, schedule, performance, and capability tradeoffs.
  • Prepare and deliver briefings, reports, and decision-support materials for internal leadership and external stakeholders.
  • Support integration and test planning, analyze test data, and validate operational assumptions to ensure system reliability and effectiveness.
  • Contribute to the development of operational concepts, mission scenarios, and use cases tailored for military systems.
  • Ensure all analytical work aligns with program goals, customer expectations, and military platform requirements to meet quality standards.

Qualifications

Candidates must possess a Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology (including Manufacturing Technology), Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, or a related field. An active U.S. Security Clearance is required, along with a minimum of five years of relevant engineering experience. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong analytical skills, experience supporting defense or military programs, and the ability to work effectively across diverse teams.
