System Engineer 2 (TG)

Active and current TS/SCI with Polygraph clearance required to start. Travel up to 10% of the time. Relocation assistance is not available.

As a Systems Engineer 2, you will apply systems engineering principles across the entire systems life cycle, from concept to retirement. You will interact with government stakeholders, program personnel, and senior executives to address technical considerations, problems, and issues. This position may be performed in Annapolis Junction, MD; San Antonio, TX; Aurora, CO; or Carey, NC.

Responsibilities

• Apply systems engineering principles throughout the systems life cycle phases: Concept, Development, Production, Utilization, Support, and Retirement.
• Engage with government stakeholders regarding technical considerations, problems, issues, or conflicts.
• Communicate with program personnel, government overseers, and senior executives.
• Ensure technical integrity, quality, and completeness of work performed and deliverables across one or more of the 25 process areas defined by ISO/IEC 15288, including:
  • Technical Process Area: Stakeholder Requirements Definition, Requirements Analysis, Architectural Design, Implementation, Integration, Verification, Transition, Validation, Operation, Maintenance, and Disposal.
  • Project Process Area: Project Planning, Project Assessment and Control, Decision Management, Risk Management, Configuration Management, Information Management, and Measurement.
  • Enterprise (Organizational Project-Enabling) Process Area: Project Portfolio Management, Infrastructure Management, Lifecycle Model Management, Human Resource Management, and Quality Management.
  • Agreement Process Area: Acquisition and Supply.
• Perform systems engineering activities and assist in preparing work products in Technical, Project, Agreement, or Enterprise Process Areas associated with ISO/IEC 15288.
• Analyze technical alternatives for projects and make preliminary recommendations.
• Develop and deliver work products in any of the ISO/IEC 15288 Process Areas.

Requirements

• High School Diploma with 8 years of experience; or Bachelor’s degree with 4 years of experience; or Master’s degree with 3 years of experience; or Doctorate degree with 1 year of experience.
• Active and current TS/SCI with Polygraph clearance.
• Level 2 System Engineer capabilities:
  • Perform systems engineering activities and assist in preparing work products in Technical Process Areas associated with ISO/IEC 15288.
  • Perform systems engineering activities and assist in preparing multiple work products in Project and/or Technical Process Areas associated with ISO/IEC 15288.
  • Assist in performing systems engineering activities in the ISO/IEC 15288 Agreement or Enterprise Process Areas.
  • Analyze technical alternatives for a project and make preliminary recommendations.
  • Develop and deliver a work product in any of the ISO/IEC 15288 Process Areas.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience analyzing user requirements to derive software design and performance requirements.
• Familiarity with Computer Network Operations (CNO) development concepts.

Pay

Primary level salary range: $119,600.00 – $187,900.00. Base salary offers consider factors such as scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate’s experience, education, skills, and current market conditions. Employees may also be eligible for annual bonuses, overtime, shift differential, and discretionary bonuses based on individual contributions and company performance.
