About the Role
T-Rex Solutions is looking for a fully cleared Systems Engineer 2 to join our dynamic team at Ft. Meade, MD in support of the Intelligence Community. The GATEKEEPER team is seeking a Systems Engineer to work with a team of developers, QA, DevOps and other system engineers to support the Software Development Lifecycle of the GATEKEEPER product.
Responsibilities
- Contribute to building and managing GATEKEEPER product installations for DoD customers
- Collaborate with development and QA teams on system testing, validation, and performance tuning in support of production readiness
- Ensure system compliance with security best practices and organizational standards
- Develop and maintain detailed documentation for system configurations, processes, and support procedures
- Collaborate cross-functionally with developers, testers, and product owners to align system behavior with business and technical requirements
- Implement and maintain system monitoring, logging, and alerting to proactively identify and resolve issues
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree and 10 years of related experience
- RDBMS experience (tuning, migration, optimization)
- Docker expertise (familiarity with Kubernetes a bonus)
- Terraform and CloudFormation (CDK)
- Familiarity with Cloud technologies and platforms
- AWS Foundational Level Certification
- RDS and relational database experience in the cloud
- Knowledge of ICAM Capabilities and Integration
- Strong organization and time management skills, including the ability to multi-task and work independently with minimum supervision to meet deadlines
- Experience with GitLab CI/CD pipelines
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Ability to clearly communicate architecture and design concepts
- Active TS/SCI w/ FSP required within 7 years
Pay & Benefits
- Annual base salary range: $160,000 - $200,000
- PTO available to use immediately upon joining (prorated based on start date)
