Summary

A System Director Surgical Services/Quality/Regulatory Readiness is essential to enhancing patient safety operational efficiency and clinical competence across multiple surgical sites using evidence-based guidelines from various professional organizations. Provide effective management and oversight of quality improvement patient and staff safety risk management in surgical services across the system. Manage surgical quality metrics design infection prevention strategies coordinate multidisciplinary peer reviews and ensure continuous survey readiness for agencies like The Joint Commission CMS state departments of health and disease specific certifications.

Responsibilities

  • Provide effective management and oversight of quality improvement patient and staff safety risk management in surgical services across the system.
  • Manage surgical quality metrics design infection prevention strategies coordinate multidisciplinary peer reviews and ensure continuous survey readiness for agencies like The Joint Commission CMS state departments of health and disease specific certifications.
  • Implement and contribute to the planning, development, delivery, and enhancement of standards applicable to medical staff quality and administrative functions.
  • Spending time at each hospital on a frequent basis.

Requirements

  • Master's degree in nursing healthcare or business.
  • 7-10 years of experience in Surgical Services.
  • 3-5 years of leadership experience in Surgical Services.

Qualifications

  • Licensed as a Registered Nurse in the State of Florida or holds a multi-state nursing license; or able to obtain license prior to start is required.
  • Certification in specialty such as CNOR.
  • Experience in project management and strategic initiatives.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to engage diverse staff members and stakeholders and promote a culture of inclusion and patient-centered care.
  • Ability to use the Microsoft Products (Word Excel PowerPoint Outlook) and navigate in Teams.
  • Epic Experience a preferred.
