AWS Infrastructure Services owns the design, planning, delivery, and operation of all AWS global infrastructure. In other words, we’re the people who keep the cloud running. Responsibilities

  • Maintain the network tools/systems within US GovCloud and other US Government air gapped regions.
  • Diagnose and fix critical systems failures in high pressure situations.
  • Design and architect new and existing systems.
  • Develop and deploy innovative production-quality tools to solve real operational problems.
  • Investigate and document complex technical issues and assist in fixing them.
  • Understand and provide technical solutions to real business problems in a global organization.

Requirements

  • Current, active US Government Security Clearance of Top Secret with SCI eligibility or above.
  • 4+ years of administrative experience in networking, storage systems, operating systems and hands-on systems engineering experience.
  • 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience.
  • 2+ years of designing or architecting (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience.

Qualifications

  • CSSLP (Certified Secure Software Lifecycle Professional), or Bachelor's degree.
  • 6+ years of administrative experience in networking, storage systems, operating systems and hands-on systems engineering experience.
  • Experience programming with at least one modern language such as Python, Ruby, Golang, Java, C++, C#, Rust.
  • Experience utilizing AWS cloud solutions in a DevOps environment.

Skills

  • Strong Linux/Unix Systems Administration knowledge, including shell scripting.
  • Proficiency in at least one development language (Python, Perl, Ruby, Shell, Java, etc.).
  • Ability to think at “Amazon scale” to solve problems in permanent, sustainable, and scalable ways.

Pay

The base salary range for this position is listed below. USA, WA, Seattle - $129,200.00 - $174,800.00 USD annually.

Schedule

Must be able to work in a 24x7 team on call rotation, with ability to drive into workplace for critical events/needs.
