System Commissioning Specialist

About the Role

Lead the deployment of Electrical Power Monitoring Systems (EPMS) across diverse customer environments, including Data Centers, Health Care Facilities, Manufacturing units, Military/Government facilities, Commercial Buildings, and Universities.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate closely with contractors and end-users through daily interactions in construction environments.
• Perform EPMS software installation, customization, and integration.
• Conduct start-up, commissioning, and troubleshooting of electrical power monitoring equipment.
• Provide customer training and perform device communication troubleshooting.
• Replace hardware components as needed.
• Consult with customers to define system operation requirements and document the as-built system.
• Travel daily to customer sites within a geographic region, with potential for 60-80% overnight travel as business dictates.
• Occasional 2nd or 3rd shift work may be required.

Requirements

• Experience with electrical equipment and knowledge of electricity, power generation, distribution, and power quality concepts.
• Understanding or experience with Modbus, Profibus, or Bacnet communication protocols.
• Proficiency in interpreting contract specifications and electrical drawing packages.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively in team settings.
• Computer/software proficiency, including:
  • Experience building computers or installing software.
  • Experience connecting devices in an industrial environment (ideally using Modbus or similar protocol).
  • Experience installing virtual machines.
• Stable work history and willingness to travel extensively.
• Ability to operate a motor vehicle in the U.S. without restriction.

Qualifications

• 2-3 years of work experience, including field work (desirable).
• A two-year technical degree, with a focus on electrical power systems or electronics, is preferred.
• Experience in Electrical Power Monitoring Systems, Building Automation Systems, Systems Integration, or Energy Management Systems (desirable).
• Familiarity with industry-standard communication protocols, computer networking architectures, and HMI configuration (desirable).
• Direct experience with Schneider Electric proprietary software and relevant certifications (desirable).

Pay

For this U.S.-based position, the expected pay range is USD 54,400 - USD 81,600 per year, including base pay and short-term incentives. Individual pay is determined by performance, knowledge, job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
