Responsibilities
- Maintain, install, update, and secure operating systems and applications using platforms like VMware vCenter, VMware Horizon View, and VMware ESXi.
- Manage storage solutions such as Rubrik, Cohesity, and Pure Storage.
- Maintain Security Technical Implementation Guide (STIG) compliance and DoD PKI requirements.
- Ensure all systems are integrated into the Endpoint Security Solutions (ESS) architecture.
- Monitor security and performance logs, manage ServiceNow tickets, and participate in technical meetings.
- Handle backup and restoration processes, support command exercises and inspections, and manage Continuity of Operations (COOP) for VOE systems.
- Create, maintain, and update VOE Standard Operating Procedures (SOP).
- Provide monthly status reports detailing accomplishments, ongoing issues, and efforts requiring government action.
- Occasionally work after-hours and weekends to support service outages.
Qualifications
- Active TS/SCI clearance.
- IAW DoDM 8410.03, Intermediate Proficiency level.
- One of the following 8570 IAT-II certifications: CCNA Security, CySA+, GICSP, GSEC, Security+, SSCP.
- Bachelor's degree in IT, Cybersecurity, Data Science, Information Systems, or Computer Science from an ABET accredited or CAE designated institution, preferred.
- At least three years of experience managing and supporting VMWare vCenter & Horizon View environments.
- Experience securing systems and applications in accordance with Federal, DoD, and customer regulations.
- At least two years of experience managing Cisco UCS in a DoD environment.
- Experience managing VMware NSX.
- Experience managing Rubrik and Cohesity.
- Experience managing VMware vSan, vCOPS, vRO, Aria, and ESXi in a DoD environment.
- Experience managing Tintri and Pure storage.
- Experience supporting Endpoint Security Solutions (ESS) agents.
- VMware Certified Professional - Data Center Virtualization (VCP-DCV) 6 [or later] certified in good standing.
- Able to work occasional after-hours and weekend work to support service outages.
