System Administrator, Senior -TENM

About the Role

Network and Computer Systems Administrator - Install, configure, and support an organization's local area network (LAN), wide area network (WAN), and Internet systems or a segment of a network system.

Responsibilities

• Monitors network to ensure network availability to all system users and performs necessary maintenance to support network availability
• Monitors and tests Web site performance to ensure Web sites operate correctly and without interruption
• Assists in network modeling, analysis, planning, and coordination between network and data communications hardware and software
• Supervises computer user support specialists and computer network support specialists
• Administers network security measures
• Performs other duties as assigned

Requirements

• BA/BS degree (8+ additional years of experience in lieu of the degree is acceptable)
• 10+ years of experience
• CompTIA: Security+ CE certification
• Proficiency with various operating systems (e.g., Windows Server, Linux, and Unix)
• Understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, routing, switching, VPNs, and firewall configurations
• Familiarity with platforms like AWS, Microsoft Azure, and Google Cloud to enable management of virtualized environments and cloud services
• Familiarity with scripting and automation
• Hardware management skills
• Ability to monitor and troubleshoot for rapid issue resolution
• Ability to stay calm under pressure and adapt to rapidly changing environments
• U.S. citizenship
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Valid driver’s license without special restrictions
• Must pass a pre-employment drug screening and background check
• Must pass a pre-employment physical
• Must possess or be able to obtain a secret security clearance prior to employment and maintain it for the duration of employment

Physical Qualifications

• The work of this position is performed in an environmentally controlled office environment
• Capable of sitting and entering data on a computer keyboard for extended periods of time
• Must be able to view a computer monitor for extended periods of time
• Capable of lifting 25 lbs. unassisted
