This isn't just a support role – you'll serve as a senior technical resource, lead infrastructure initiatives, and help shape the systems that keep Experitec running at its best.
Responsibilities
- Administer and maintain Windows Server and Linux environments to ensure reliability and performance.
- Manage Active Directory, Azure Active Directory, and Office 365 with advanced policy and compliance configurations.
- Diagnose and resolve complex networking issues, including VPN, VLAN, subnetting, and firewall policies.
- Leverage virtualization platforms to deploy, manage, and decommission virtual servers.
- Write PowerShell scripts and automations to eliminate manual, repetitive tasks.
- Monitor system health, respond to alerts, and proactively maintain enterprise security and uptime.
- Bridge the technical gap between Tier 1/2 helpdesk and senior IT leadership.
- Mentor junior IT team members and contribute to technical documentation and SOPs.
- Participate in infrastructure upgrade, migration, and deployment projects.

Requirements
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- Two or more years managing Windows Server in a production environment.
- Five or more years of IT experience.
- Three or more years as a System Administrator or equivalent.
- Experience deploying or managing virtual machines in VMware (vCenter or ESXI).
- Experience providing advanced technical support and serving as an escalation point for complex IT issues.
- Experience diagnosing and resolving server, operating system, storage, virtualization, and network-related problems.
- Ability to proactively identify business needs, troubleshoot, and resolve technical issues through creative problem solving.
- Experience establishing project timelines and detailing key milestones and tasks to achieve objectives.
- Experience administering and maintaining Windows and Linux server environments.
- One or more years of experience managing and supporting Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, or DHCP.
- Experience designing, implementing, and maintaining enterprise infrastructure solutions.
- Experience administering virtualization platforms.
- Experience configuring and maintaining backup, disaster recovery, and business continuity solutions.
- Experience monitoring system performance, capacity, and availability while proactively identifying and mitigating risks.
- Experience leading root cause analysis efforts for critical incidents and recurring problems.
- Experience implementing security best practices, vulnerability remediation, and system hardening.
- Experience monitoring and managing patching, updates, and lifecycle maintenance of infrastructure components.
- Experience developing and maintaining automation scripts using PowerShell, Bash, Python, or similar tools.
- Ability to create and maintain technical documentation, standards, and operating procedures.
- Experience planning and executing infrastructure upgrades, migrations, and deployment projects.
- Ability to collaborate with network, security, cloud, and application teams on cross-functional initiatives.
- Ability to support enterprise storage systems, SAN/NAS technologies, and data management platforms.
- Ability to configure and maintain monitoring and alerting solutions.
- Ability to evaluate new technologies and recommend infrastructure improvements.
- Ability to ensure compliance with organizational policies, security requirements, and regulatory standards.
- Ability to support high-availability and failover solutions for critical business systems.
- Ability to perform capacity planning and infrastructure optimization to support business growth.
- Ability to effectively communicate (written and verbal) with internal customers and co-workers and to provide strong customer support through proactive solution development and time management.
- Ability to work Monday through Friday from 8am-5pm in the office three days per week and work remote two days per week.
Qualifications
- Ability to drive for the company with a valid driver’s license and the ability to pass driving record background check.
- Ability to utilize personal vehicle for the majority of work travel AND ability to rent a car when requested by supervisor for work travel.
- Ability to independently travel domestically up to 10% of the time, including overnights.
- Ability to lift more than 30 lbs.
